Living Well...

The girls and I have been spending a lot of time at the ocean these past few weeks.  It's been extremely hot and humid, and having acclimated to Maine weather, we don't handle it well.

Here is my oldest, Molly, as a mermaid!

Living well at the beach!

When we weren't at the beach, we were trying to stay cool inside.  I managed to take part in a challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.  We were asked to create a project using the colors in the photo below as well as buttons, twine/ribbon and stitching.

This is what I came up with:

I have to admit that I had this vision in my head of what I wanted to do, but the end result turned out completely different; although I am happy with it!

Each little frame is cut from the Bo Bunny Country Garden collection, and I added little bits of old screen to the backs of a few of them for added texture and interest.  They're all settled onto a piece of stained muslin.  Flowers are from Prima and Maya Road, and the butterfly from Prima. 

The tag reads:  Live well, love much, laugh often
